John Amos Whatley

John Amos Whatley is a dedicated personal injury litigator and trial attorney with more than 19 years of experience. As a partner at Stein Whatley Astorino, PLLC, he passionately advocates for individuals who have suffered serious injuries in incidents such as car, motorcycle, and big truck accidents, along with slip and fall cases. He extends his expertise to victims of medical malpractice, working to secure compensation from negligent healthcare providers, surgical facilities, and hospitals. John also supports families in wrongful death cases, aiding them in recovering compensation for their loss. Furthermore, he handles Social Security and worker’s compensation claims for injured or disabled clients.

John's educational journey began at Trinity High School, followed by the University of Louisville, where he excelled both academically and athletically. He was a member of the football team and earned a spot on the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll. His academic achievements were recognized with the Conference USA Academic Award and the John E. Brown Scholarship. In 2002, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, majoring in Accountancy.

John is admitted to practice law in both Kentucky and Mississippi, having joined the Kentucky Bar in 2006 and the Mississippi Bar in 2005. He also practices in the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Kentucky and the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. His professional affiliations include the Mississippi Bar Association, Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association, and the Kentucky Justice Association. John was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers in 2018 and 2019.
