About Julie Ann O'Bryan
Julie Ann O'Bryan graduated from Spalding University in 1982 with a degree in Business Administration and a minor in mathematics. She earned her law degree from the University of Louisville in 1985 and spent her final semester at Hastings University in San Francisco, interning with the Department of Corporations. Julie became a member of the California Bar Association in 1985 and the Kentucky Bar Association in 1987.
From 1987 to 1993, Julie served as a Staff Attorney for the Honorable J. Wendell Roberts, U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Western District of Kentucky. In 1994, she established her own practice, OBryan Law Offices PSC, which now comprises four associate attorneys, three paralegals, and a support staff of six. The firm handles over 100 consumer bankruptcies monthly, along with personal injury and uncontested divorce cases, across four offices in the Kentuckiana region, including Southern Indiana and Frankfort.
Julie achieved certification as a Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney by the American Board of Certification in 2003. She maintains this certification through ongoing education and active involvement in bankruptcy law, particularly following the enactment of BAPCA. Julie has also shared her expertise by lecturing at numerous bankruptcy seminars and volunteering with CARE, a national program educating young adults about debt risks. Additionally, she is a graduate of Max Gardner's Bankruptcy Boot Camp in Shelby, North Carolina, where she advanced her knowledge on consumer rights issues such as automatic stay, discharge violations, and FDCPA and FCRA violations.
