P. Kevin Hackworth

P. Kevin Hackworth has dedicated his career to representing clients throughout Kentucky, from Pikeville to Paducah. His practice areas include medical malpractice claims, civil litigation, and criminal defense, where he has advocated for victims comprehensively.

Kevin's journey to law began with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Kentucky, graduating with distinction. He then earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Kentucky College of Law.

Before joining Hughes & Coleman, Kevin served as Assistant County Attorney for the Carter County Attorney’s Office in Grayson, Kentucky, before transitioning to private practice. His career has been marked by a focus on medical malpractice litigation, where he has represented clients in various civil and criminal matters.

Kevin has secured million-dollar settlements for plaintiffs and favorable verdicts for physicians and hospitals in 15 jury trials. Additionally, he has successfully defended criminal clients, including achieving an acquittal for a death penalty client charged with capital murder.

Outside of his legal work, Kevin enjoys spending time with his wife, Julie, and daughter, Annabelle. As an avid photographer, he is as comfortable behind the camera as in the courtroom. He also loves hiking, fishing, and visiting America's National Parks.
