Terrance L. Massey Jr.

TJ Massey is a seasoned trial attorney at Hughes & Coleman Injury Lawyers, concentrating on cases of nursing home neglect, medical malpractice, and wrongful death. He brings a wealth of litigation experience, having dedicated his career primarily to civil litigation and representing clients impacted by nursing home abuse, medical malpractice, professional negligence, and catastrophic personal injury.

Earlier in his career, TJ gained valuable experience defending a prominent Kentucky nursing home chain. However, he chose to leave civil defense to focus on advocating for injured plaintiffs and their families.

TJ was raised in a small rural town in north Florida, where his parents, both pharmacists, own and operate independent drug stores. Their commitment to serving the community inspired him to pursue a career in law. He earned his undergraduate degree in Diplomatic History from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was also a four-year varsity member of the Penn crew team.

Following graduation, TJ worked in Washington, DC, as a legal aide to United States Senator Mel Martinez. He later attended law school at the University of Louisville, where he participated in the student bar association and honor council.

Residing in Louisville, TJ enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. He is an active member of Highland Presbyterian Church and spends his free time hunting and playing golf.
