About Kara Harp
Kara Harp has committed her legal career to representing individuals harmed by medical negligence and other catastrophic events. Joining LBL Law in 2014 after law school, she has been a staunch advocate for clients dealing with birth injuries, spinal cord damage, stroke, and wrongful death. Her approach involves a deep dive into the medical and scientific aspects of each case to effectively challenge negligent providers.
Recognized as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in Medical Errors since 2019, Kara stands among the top 2.5% of attorneys under 40. Her legal expertise extends to litigating and resolving cases involving motor vehicle and trucking accidents, as well as pedestrian injuries caused by negligent drivers.
Kara graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Kentucky, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA. She earned her law degree magna cum laude from Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University, where she was one of only two students to receive a Certificate for Excellence in Advocacy, highlighting her leadership and advocacy skills.
In addition to her legal practice, Kara is an active member of the legal community. She serves as an Adjunct Professor at Chase College of Law, is on the Board of Directors for the Northern Kentucky Bar Association, and is a past Chair of the Young Lawyers Section. Since 2021, she has also contributed to the City of Bellevue’s Planning and Zoning Commission.
Originally from the Lexington area, Kara moved to Northern Kentucky for law school and now resides in Bellevue. She enjoys weightlifting and spending weekends at local craft breweries with her shih tzu, Benson.
