Hugh W. Barrow

Hugh W. Barrow is a founding partner of Barrow Brown Carrington, PLLC, bringing over seventeen years of experience in divorce and family law to clients in Louisville, Kentucky. He is dedicated to providing personal and empathetic client service, a rare quality in many litigation practices. His practice encompasses both high-end litigation and uncontested divorce solutions, serving the Louisville area and its surrounding counties.

Hugh has represented thousands of clients and has been recognized with numerous awards for his trial skills. He holds extensive courtroom experience and currently serves as a court-appointed Guardian ad Litem in family court and as a Warning Order Attorney for the Jefferson Circuit Court.

Originally from South Carolina, Hugh has lived and worked in Maine, Vermont, Seattle, and Alabama, before settling in Washington, D.C. There, he practiced law with various firms and nongovernmental organizations. Now based in Louisville, he has been named one of Kentucky's "Top Lawyers" by Louisville Magazine and recognized by the National Trial Lawyers as one of the Top 40 Trial Lawyers Under 40.

Hugh holds a J.D. from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, an LL.M. from the University of Washington School of Law, an M.S. from Samford University, and a Bachelor's degree from Auburn University. He is a member of the Louisville Bar Association (Family Law Section) and the Kentucky Bar Association.

Beyond his legal career, Hugh is a married father of two boys who enjoys whitewater kayaking, scuba diving, and playing guitar. A passionate Auburn Tigers football fan, he also contributes as a board member for nonprofit organizations.
