Andrée Matherne Cullens

With over fifteen years as a partner at Taylor, Porter, Brooks, and Phillips, LLP, one of Louisiana's largest defense firms, Andrée Matherne Cullens has a robust background in representing creditors, trustees, state agencies, and financial institutions. Her notable clients have included Chase Bank, State Street Bank and Trust Company, the Louisiana Office of Economic Development, LSU, and the Louisiana Department of Revenue.

Ms. Cullens possesses significant courtroom experience in both federal and state courts and has been admitted pro hac vice in jurisdictions such as New York, California, and Florida. Her primary focus is on bankruptcy litigation and commercial litigation. In the case of Campo Electronics, Inc. v. Ross, 247 B.R. 646 (E.D. La. 1998), she successfully established the prioritization of severance pay as an administrative expense in bankruptcy law.

Before her legal career, Ms. Cullens was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves, serving during Desert Storm in 1991 and receiving several commendations. She was honorably discharged in 1994. An active community member, she is involved with the Leadership Council of Greater Baton Rouge, serves on the Board of Directors of WRKF, has been on the board of LSU Hilltop Arboretum, and volunteers with Habitat for Humanity.

Ms. Cullens earned her B.A. from the University of New Orleans in 1989 and her J.D. from Louisiana State University in 1994, where she worked as a research assistant for two law professors.
