Eulis Simien Jr

After transitioning from a full-time position at the L.S.U Law Center, Eulis Simien Jr. joined the Simien & Simien Law Firm. He is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, the Fifth and Eleventh Circuit United States Courts of Appeals, all federal district courts in Louisiana, the Louisiana Supreme Court, and all lower state courts. Eulis focuses on a broad range of trial and appellate work, emphasizing Personal Injury, Admiralty and Maritime, Class Actions, Complex Litigation, and Criminal Defense.

Eulis has been an active speaker and contributor to legal education. His speaking engagements include "Starting Your Own Practice" at the LSU Law Center in August 2006, and "Summary Judgment: It’s Not Just for Defendants Anymore" at the Louisiana Trial Lawyers Last Chance Seminar in New Orleans, December 2004. He has also participated in panels and seminars on Procedure and Evidence at the Louisiana Judicial College in March 2000, and the Louisiana State University Summer School for Lawyers on Jury Selection in July 1993.

His contributions extend to the Louisiana Judge’s Conference in Lafayette, April 1993, and the Fifteenth Judicial District Public Defender Program's Criminal Litigation Seminar in November 1992. Additionally, he has been involved in the Louisiana Judicial College's programs on Criminal Procedure and Avoiding Federal Habeas Relief in San Destin, Florida, June 1992, and on Evidence and Procedure in New Orleans, February 1992.

Eulis has also shared his expertise at the Louisiana State University Paul M. Hebert Summer School for Lawyers on Criminal Law and Procedure in Baton Rouge during July 1990 and 1989, and at the Louisiana Trial Lawyers' Criminal Law Seminar on Ethical Conflicts and Criminal Practice in May 1989. He has delivered a keynote address for the Southwest Louisiana Bar Association.
