Paul Scott

Paul "Woody" Scott is deeply committed to advocating for families through his legal practice. As the founder of The Scott Law Firm, he focuses on immigration law, deportation and removal defense, criminal defense, and federal criminal and immigration litigation.

Mr. Scott was born in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, and moved to New Orleans, Louisiana, at the age of two. Raised in the New Orleans area, he graduated from Archbishop Rummel High School in Metairie. He then pursued his undergraduate studies at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, earning a bachelor's degree.

He obtained his Juris Doctor and Bachelor of Civil Law from the LSU Paul H. Hebert Law School. During his academic career, Mr. Scott extensively traveled and studied Latin American legal systems. Fluent in Spanish, he studied for a semester at the prestigious Universidad Austral Facultad de los Derechos in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Mr. Scott's personal experiences with friends and family navigating the immigration system have fueled his passion for immigration law. His legal services encompass Immigration and Nationality Law, Criminal Defense, and Personal Injury.

In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Scott regularly appears on Radio Amor and La Nueva radio stations, where he addresses questions from the Spanish-speaking community.
