Joseph Gilsoul

Joseph Gilsoul, based in Bossier City, Louisiana, brings 40 years of legal expertise to his clients. His practice areas include estate planning, trusts, successions (probate), Medicaid, VA benefits, Social Security disability appeals, and asset protection planning. Joseph understands that every client has unique needs, and he designs tailored plans to ensure their well-being and asset preservation over time.

Joseph is a seasoned presenter, having conducted numerous seminars for the public, financial planners, and professional groups. He has also been invited to speak at attorney continuing-education seminars hosted by LSU Law Center, Tulane Law School, and the Louisiana State Bar Association.

Born and raised in Montana, Joseph enlisted in the U.S. Army at 17, serving a year in Vietnam. He later pursued his education at the University of South Florida in Tampa, earning honors in accounting. His career includes roles at the U.S. General Accounting Office and a six-and-a-half-year tenure with the Internal Revenue Service in New Orleans. During this time, he attended Loyola Law School at night.

Following law school, Joseph joined a mid-sized Shreveport law firm where he practiced for 31 years. On August 1, 2016, he established his own firm, Gilsoul & Aronson, LLC, collaborating with Lee Aronson.
