Mr. Kenneth Craig Smith Jr

Kenneth Craig Smith Jr. was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, and completed his early education at Loyola College Prep in 1985. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Louisiana State University-Shreveport in 1990. Subsequently, he attended the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, graduating in 1993.

As a partner at Smith & John, Craig has been a member of the Louisiana Bar since 1993. His legal practice extends to the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit; U.S. District Court, Western District of Louisiana; and U.S. District Court, Middle District of Louisiana.

Craig is actively involved in several bar associations, including the Louisiana State Bar Association, Shreveport Bar Association, and Fifth Federal Circuit Bar Association. He is also a Master Member of the Harry V. Booth and Henry A. Politz Chapter of the American Inns of Court, having progressed from Associate to Master since joining in 1998. This prestigious group is dedicated to enhancing the skills and ethics of the legal profession.

Craig's legal acumen has been recognized in multiple editions of The Best Lawyers in America® from 2007 to 2014. He has also been highlighted as a top lawyer in the Shreveport-Bossier area by SB Magazine from 2004 to 2014.

In addition to his legal practice, Craig serves his sixth term in the House of Delegates of the Louisiana State Bar Association for the First Judicial District Court, encompassing Caddo Parish. He has chaired the Criminal Law Committee of the Shreveport Bar Association and has been involved in shaping policy as part of the House of Delegates.
