Richard C. Broussard

Richard C. Broussard, raised in Lafayette, is a founding partner of Broussard, David & Moroux. He specializes in products liability law, maritime personal injury law, aviation litigation, and general personal injury law. Broussard has achieved an "AV" rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest possible rating for legal professionals. His peers have consistently recognized him as one of Louisiana's top personal injury attorneys since the inception of the Super Lawyers rating system.

Broussard has been honored with the Louisiana State Bar Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award and the Louisiana Association for Justice’s President’s Award. His professional affiliations are extensive, including roles as the founding co-chairperson of Lafayette Outreach for Civil Justice, President of the Lafayette Parish Bar Association, and positions within the Louisiana State Bar Association’s House of Delegates and Board of Governors.

Further, Broussard serves on the Board of Governors and Executive Committee of the Louisiana Association for Justice, and is a member of the American Association for Justice, Lawyer-Pilots Bar Association, and the American Inn of Court, where he is the co-founder and Secretary-Treasurer of the Acadiana Inn. He is also part of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. This year, he was selected for induction into the 2024 Lafayette Bar Association Hall of Fame.
