About Michael Scott Ogden

Flory Trial Advocacy competition and receiving the top oralist award in the final round. Scott also participated in national competitions in Tampa, Florida, and Dallas, Texas. During his six semesters, he was a Chancellor’s Scholar four times and a Paul M. Hebert Scholar twice.
In addition to his academic achievements, Scott received the CALI award for the highest grade in Income Taxation and the Bioethics Seminar. He was a member of the LSU Law Trial Advocacy Board, the Student Bar Association, and contributed as a columnist for the Civilian. His practical experience includes working with the Honorable John deGravelles at the U.S. District Court, and at several law firms including Keogh, Cox and Wilson; deGravelles, Palmintier, Holthaus and Fruge; and the Orleans Parish Public Defenders office, where he dedicated over 400 pro bono hours.
After graduating, Scott moved from Baton Rouge to Lake Charles, where he co-founded Sudduth & Associates. He is licensed to practice law in Louisiana.
