Roy Maughan Jr

Roy Maughan Jr. is a distinguished attorney based in Central, Louisiana, with a focus on entertainment law, including television, film, and music, as well as contracts and transactional work. He also handles intellectual property litigation, personal injury litigation, and other complex legal matters. Roy earned his Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University and his Juris Doctorate from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center in 1986.

Roy has contributed significantly to the legal community, serving five terms on the Board of Governors of the Louisiana Association of Justice and two terms on the Professionalism Committee for the Louisiana State Bar Association. His leadership extends to the Baton Rouge Bar Association, where he has chaired various committees and co-chaired the High School Mock Trial competitions for six years. In recognition of his service, Roy received the Baton Rouge Bar Association Presidents Award in 1997.

In addition to his legal practice, Roy has been a lecturer on entertainment law, legislative developments, and insurance coverage issues. He has also served as a board member and past president for two terms of Assumption Life Insurance Company.
