Gissel Marie Ferriol

Gissel Marie Ferriol began her legal career in the New Orleans metro area in 2004, bringing her expertise to the community she serves. Originally from Puerto Rico and fluent in Spanish, Gissel's diverse background enriches her practice. She earned her bachelor's degree in Psychology and Classics from the University of Arizona and graduated in the top 15% of her class at Loyola University School of Law, where she also received a Certificate in International Law.

Her career commenced as an Assistant District Attorney for Orleans Parish, followed by a role as an Associate at a local insurance defense firm. During her time there, she gained substantial experience in handling cases involving medical malpractice, auto accidents, personal injury, premises liability, product liability, and litigation related to Hurricane Katrina.

In 2011, Gissel and her husband, Oskar Pérez, established Ferriol Pérez, LLC, a law firm dedicated to providing client-focused legal services to the local community. The firm reflects their commitment to serving the needs of their clients with a personalized approach.

Beyond her legal practice, Gissel is an accomplished author and serves on the Board of The Japan Society of New Orleans, contributing to the cultural and intellectual fabric of the region.
