Kameron Whitmeyer was born and raised in Lafayette, Louisiana, graduating from Lafayette High School. He pursued an undergraduate degree at Tulane University, completing his studies in 2013. Following graduation, he joined Teach for America's Phoenix Corps, where he dedicated two years to education.
