Tod J. Everage

Tod J. Everage serves as a partner at Kean Miller's New Orleans office, where he has been an integral part of the Offshore Energy and Maritime Litigation Practice Group since joining in 2011. He focuses on representing oil and gas operators, both offshore and onshore, along with their service providers and contractors, in litigation across state and federal courts. His expertise extends to representing vessel owners, shipyards, and diesel engine service providers in warranty claims.

In addition to litigation, Tod provides clients with contract review, drafting, negotiations, transactional disputes, and general corporate advice. He has successfully tried cases to verdict and managed multiple appeals in both state and federal forums.

Tod is the editor of Kean Miller’s Maritime and Energy E-Bulletin, a quarterly publication keeping clients informed of recent court decisions and regulatory updates in the Energy and Maritime sectors. He is also a frequent contributor to the Louisiana Law Blog. Within the firm, Tod is actively involved in the recruiting committee and holds several board positions outside of his legal practice.

Before joining Kean Miller, Tod practiced Commercial Litigation at his previous firm, representing banks and lending institutions. His achievements have been recognized by Louisiana Super Lawyers, listing him as a Rising Star from 2016 to 2019.
