Collin Melancon

With a career rooted in one of Louisiana's top-rated defendant firms, Collin Melancon joined forces with three seasoned attorneys to establish Mansfield Melancon. Their mission is to provide clients with the personalized attention they deserve. Collin is well-versed in representing victims across both Louisiana federal and state courts, handling a range of cases from intricate business disputes to personal disagreements.

Collin is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state courts, the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana, and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. He earned his J.D. from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law, graduating summa cum laude and first in his class in the Louisiana Civil Law Division. He was honored with the Spirit of St. Ignatius Award, Loyola's highest accolade for a graduating law student.

During his time at Loyola, Collin contributed to the Loyola Law Review for two years and participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot. He also held the position of Chief Justice of Loyola’s Honor Board. His tenure as a police officer brings additional insight to clients facing criminal charges, supported by his experience as a commissioned sheriff’s deputy in East Baton Rouge Parish, where he served in the uniform patrol division.
