About Addie Prewitt
Addie Prewitt was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, amidst the vibrant culture of Cajun country. Growing up with her grandparents next door, family was always a central part of her life. Her childhood was filled with family gatherings and attending Saints games, a cherished tradition.
Addie pursued her passion for sports by playing volleyball at LSU, fulfilling a lifelong dream. She attended LSU Law School where she discovered her aptitude for numbers in a tax law course, leading her to excel in the program. After earning her law degree, she furthered her education with a Master of Laws (LL.M) in taxation at Boston University School of Law.
Her career began in New York City, where she joined the mergers and acquisitions tax practice at Ernst & Young. The fast-paced lifestyle of NYC, with long hours and constant availability, was reminiscent of the demanding life portrayed on television. Despite a subsequent transfer to Atlanta, Addie yearned to return to Louisiana to make a tangible difference in people's lives.
In 2012, Addie returned to Louisiana, rejoining Taylor Porter in Baton Rouge, the firm where her legal journey began. There, she focused on assisting families with wills, trusts, and business succession plans, including helping an aging father transition his company to his children. Her diverse experiences across the country have equipped her to offer clients peace of mind through comprehensive planning.
Addie is committed to serving the community she loves, bringing her extensive legal expertise back to the people of Louisiana.
