Jacob K. Weixler

Jacob K. Weixler offers comprehensive legal representation in federal criminal defense, civil litigation, and professional disciplinary proceedings. He assists clients with business law matters as well. Jacob has a diverse client base, having defended First Amendment rights for a national civil figure, aided a former military official with fraud and conspiracy charges, advocated for defrauded investors, and pursued justice for the wrongly incarcerated.

Before founding Weixler Law LLC, Jacob honed his skills at Schonekas Evans McGoey & McEachin, LLC, a renowned New Orleans boutique firm known for handling complex criminal and civil cases. His experience extends to working with international law firms, including Locke Lord LLP and Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP. At Locke Lord, Jacob managed intricate litigation for large companies across Louisiana. In Washington, D.C., at Akin Gump, he focused on litigation and white-collar defense, representing companies in domestic and international misconduct cases. Jacob was also a participant in Akin Gump's Pro Bono Scholars program.

Jacob holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where he received the Sandberg Loved Ones Scholarship. Notably, he and a classmate achieved the exoneration of an individual wrongfully convicted for 35 years. He also served as the Executive Articles Editor for the Michigan Journal of Race and Law. Jacob completed his undergraduate studies with a B.A. in American Studies from The George Washington University.
