Jason Jabar

After graduating from law school, Jason Jabar began his legal career in the Appellate Division of Unum Insurance Company. In 2001, he transitioned to private practice and has since been a dedicated advocate for Mainers at Jabar LaLiberty, LLC.

Jason honed his legal skills under the mentorship of his father, current Maine Supreme Court Justice Joseph Jabar, and former law partner, now Maine Superior Court Justice Michaela Murphy. His extensive courtroom experience includes handling hundreds of civil and criminal cases, notably two criminal homicide trials. Jason has participated in over one hundred contested trials, including several jury trials. In his first personal injury jury trial, he achieved a $148,000 verdict for his client after a four-day trial against a prominent insurance defense attorney, despite no settlement offer from the opposing insurance company.

Throughout his career, Jason has secured substantial verdicts of $406,000, $311,000, and $175,000 for his clients in cases where no settlement offers were made. He has helped recover tens of millions of dollars in personal injury settlements and judgments, including notable settlements of $1.7 million, $3.9 million, and $4.5 million.

In recognition of his expertise, Jason was honored with the “Top 40 Under 40” designation at the National Trial Lawyers Association Summit in Miami in January 2013. From 2018 onward, he has been consistently named to the “Super Lawyers” list by Super Lawyers Magazine in the field of personal injury. His professional reputation is further reflected in his “superb” Avvo rating of 10.

Jason currently serves as President of the Maine Trial Lawyers Association and has previously served on the Board of Directors for the Maine Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. His peers in Maine frequently refer personal injury cases to him due to his strong expertise and reputation.

Outside of his legal practice, Jason is active in his community, coaching youth football and basketball. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, being married with four children.
