Russell Goldsmith

Russell Goldsmith is a dedicated attorney practicing in Bath, Maine, with a focus on disability and personal injury law. He began his academic journey at Haverford College, earning a degree in Philosophy in 1987. Pursuing his passion for law, he attended the University of Maine School of Law, where he distinguished himself as the only student in his class to be selected for both the Law Review and Moot Court Competition Board. During his senior year, he published an article titled 'Contracting out of Maine’s Employment-At-Will Doctrine' in the 42 Maine Law Review.

While in law school, Russell interned at prominent law firms in Manchester, New Hampshire, and Portland, Maine. It was during this time that he discovered his passion for advocating for the disabled. In his senior year, he worked as the sole law clerk at a disability law practice in Portland, contributing to legal research and advising a team of 10 attorneys, all while maintaining strong academic performance and participating in both Moot Court and Law Review.

After being admitted to the Maine State Bar in 1990 and the Massachusetts Bar in early 1991, Russell continued his work at the Portland disability law firm, focusing on workers' compensation and personal injury claims. By the summer of 1991, he established his own law firm. Throughout his career, Russell has been recognized for his charitable contributions, receiving awards from notable figures such as Governor John McKernan and Edmund Muskie for his pro bono service to the indigent.

Russell Goldsmith remains committed to advocating for the 'little guy,' tirelessly pursuing the legal rights of the affected and disabled. He regularly appears before judges in Maine, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire, where he was also admitted to practice in 2003.
