Peter J Cyr

Peter J. Cyr is a seasoned attorney practicing in Cumberland County, Maine, with a focus on criminal, family, and civil litigation. He began his academic journey at Piscataquis Community High School, graduating in 1989. He then attended Providence College, where he earned his degree in Social Science, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1993.

In 1994, Peter J. Cyr dedicated a year to community service as a VISTA Volunteer in Austin, Texas, where he worked with children to encourage school retention. Following his volunteer work, he remained in Texas, gaining hands-on experience as a carpenter in the areas west of Austin.

Peter pursued his legal education at the University of Maine School of Law, commencing in 1997. He graduated Cum Laude, receiving recognition for excellence in writing and communication skills from the alumni association.

After completing his law degree, Peter was admitted to practice in both Maine and Massachusetts. He now operates his own legal practice, focusing primarily on criminal, family, and civil litigation.
