About Marla Zide
Marla Zide developed an early interest in law, inspired by childhood visits to her father's office. Originally from New England, she relocated to Maryland in 1993 to pursue higher education at Goucher College, where she earned a B.A. in psychology, minoring in Women’s Studies, in 1997. She advanced her legal education by obtaining a J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2001, focusing on family law, participating in the Family Law Clinic, and contributing to the Maryland Legal Service Network (MLAN) and the People’s Law Library.
After her admission to the Maryland Bar in December 2001, Ms. Zide began her career at the YWCA of Annapolis and Anne Arundel County, advocating for clients in protective order hearings. She primarily serves Anne Arundel County and extends her practice to Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Howard County, Harford County, and several Eastern Shore counties. Her areas of expertise include separation, divorce, custody, visitation, child support, alimony, family support, and adoption, representing parents, grandparents, third parties, and children.
Ms. Zide is recognized for her unwavering advocacy and clear guidance in emotionally challenging cases, helping clients focus on practical outcomes while ensuring they feel heard and supported.
