Leah Katherine Barron

Leah K. Barron, a founding partner of Brown & Barron, LLC, has dedicated her career to advocating for plaintiffs harmed by corporate misconduct. Her practice primarily involves representing families who have lost loved ones due to nursing home abuse or neglect. Leah has successfully built a robust nursing home abuse practice at her firm, ensuring clients receive outstanding legal services and an exceptional client experience.

Before co-founding Brown & Barron, Leah led a national practice and served as Team Leader at a renowned plaintiffs' firm, handling litigation across the United States.

During her time at law school, Leah contributed as an editor for the Harvard Human Rights Journal and engaged in various public interest initiatives. Her dedication earned her numerous honors, including a fellowship to continue her public interest work post-graduation.

Leah is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Maryland Association for Justice (MAJ), the American Association for Justice (AAJ), the American Bar Association (ABA), and the Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA). She has served as an editor for the MAJ's Trial Reporter magazine and is part of the MAJ's Legislative Leaders Circle. Additionally, she has contributed to the AAJ's Law Schools Committee and is involved in the Nursing Home Sections of both MAJ and AAJ. Leah has shared her expertise at numerous legal conferences, and her achievements have been recognized by The National Trial Lawyers' Top 40 under 40 list. She has also been honored as a Super Lawyer and among the Top 100 Civil Plaintiff's Attorneys.

Before embarking on her legal career, Leah taught History and Government in the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore City public school systems. She has also served on the boards of various community associations in these areas.
