About Katherine Kole Thompson
Katherine Kole Thompson has deep roots in Harford County, having lived there all her life. She graduated cum laude from Boston College in 1990, earning degrees in biology and psychology, while also competing on the varsity swimming team and completing the Boston Marathon that year. She went on to earn her law degree from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1993 and was admitted to the Maryland Bar the same year. During law school, Katherine was a student attorney for juvenile offenders, an associate editor for The Business Lawyer Law Journal, and gained practical experience as a law clerk at two firms.
Following her graduation, Katherine served as a law clerk for the Honorable William O. Carr, Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court for Harford County. This role provided her with invaluable insights into the workings of the local court system. After completing her clerkship, she established her private practice in Bel Air, Maryland.
Katherine's practice focuses on family law (including divorce, custody, visitation, and child support) and personal injury (such as auto accidents and medical malpractice). She is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia (inactive), and the federal court system.
