Oren Goldberg

Oren Goldberg, serving as Of Counsel in the Estate Planning & Administration Group, initially joined the Firm in 2008 as an associate. After a period dedicated to launching a family business in 2014, he returned to the Firm in 2018. Oren provides individuals and families with expert advice on estate planning, probate, and estate and trust administration, with a focus on business succession and asset protection planning. He also assists clients in achieving their charitable goals during their lifetime and posthumously.

Oren frequently advises multi-generational families on the development of sophisticated estate plans. His expertise includes preparing essential documents such as wills, and financial and health care powers of attorney, as well as establishing various trusts. He offers guidance on planning for adult children and elderly parents and is skilled in utilizing estate planning vehicles like generation-skipping trusts, life insurance trusts, and qualified personal residence trusts. Additionally, Oren advises on supplemental special needs trusts, silent trusts, and planning with family business entities.

Oren emphasizes the importance of efficient ownership transfer and control in estate planning, particularly concerning family businesses, while minimizing taxes and intra-family conflicts. He advocates for a long-term perspective, encouraging collaboration with accountants and financial advisors and conducting annual reviews to adapt to changing circumstances and uncover planning opportunities.
