Jackelyn Niky Wooding

Jackelyn "Niky" Wooding is a seasoned attorney licensed in both Maryland and Texas. She began her academic journey with a B.A. in Political Science and Business Administration from Prairie View A&M University. Before entering the legal field, she gained valuable experience in finance and strategic partnerships with several Fortune 100 companies and non-profit organizations.

Jackelyn pursued her legal education at North Carolina Central University School of Law, where she concentrated on Business and Intellectual Property (IP) law. During her law school years, she actively participated in the moot court, led as President of the IP Law Society, and interned at the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Upon admission to the Maryland Bar, Jackelyn held roles as an examiner at the United States Copyright Office and served as Technology and Commercial Contracts Legal Counsel at eBay Inc. Her credentials include being a Certified Information Privacy Professional and an advocate for Artificial Intelligence Governance. She founded The Wooding Firm to provide accessible legal services in IP law, Technology law, and Business law.

In addition to her legal practice, Jackelyn is a certified mediator. Her mediation experience began in law school, where she facilitated resolutions in civil, family, criminal, and truancy cases. She continued this work at the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, mediating disputes between consumers and businesses.

Jackelyn is also dedicated to education and community service, teaching intellectual property and technology law through workshops and panels, and volunteering with various legal and community organizations.
