Alycia E Stack

Alycia Stack has built her legal career in Southern Maryland, where she specializes in family law, addressing issues like divorce, child custody, and adoption. Her recent role as a Staff Attorney at Maryland Legal Aid involved advocating for children in the child welfare system, navigating foster care, terminations of parental rights, and adoptions.

Before joining Maryland Legal Aid, Alycia represented victims of domestic violence in peace and protective order proceedings. With over 300 such cases handled, she brings extensive training in domestic violence, child abuse and neglect, and trauma. Her commitment to the legal community is evident through her active participation in the local bar, where she has served as president and president-elect and contributed as a scholarship committee member.

Alycia's roots trace back to Indiana, where she was born and raised, before attending Kenyon College in Ohio. She earned her law degree from the Washington College of Law at American University in 2009. Following graduation, Alycia and her husband relocated to St. Mary’s County. She cherishes Southern Maryland as her home, appreciating its shared values of family focus, leisurely pace, and love for the outdoors. Alycia and her family enjoy hiking in local parks and attending cultural events like the River Concert Series and gatherings at Leonardtown Square.
