Kimberlee J. Gee

Kimberlee J. Gee is the Founder and Managing Member of Kimberlee Gee Legal, a law firm with a presence in Washington, D.C. and Maryland, providing legal services across the nation. Established in 2017, her firm focuses on employment and labor law.

Before establishing her firm, Ms. Gee held the role of Deputy Assistant General Counsel and served as an in-house attorney for a financial services corporation. In this position, she managed the corporation's ethics compliance program and provided strategic legal advice to the Board of Directors and senior leaders on employment, personnel, and HR compliance issues. Her responsibilities included overseeing workplace investigations, managing litigation, and handling dispute resolution and individual appeal cases. She represented the corporation in various judicial and administrative employment proceedings.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Gee was the principal representative for a Washington, D.C. association, advocating for over 20,000 employees nationwide. As lead counsel, she skillfully managed arbitration and administrative proceedings, addressing employment and labor law matters such as discharge and discipline, leave, breach of contract, unfair labor practices, and workers' compensation. She also managed grievance administration and led contract negotiations for collective bargaining and settlement agreements.

Prior to these roles, Ms. Gee served as a policy analyst and research assistant for a national organization, where she developed policy data products and authored white papers on national labor policies and federal initiatives. Additionally, she was an Editor for the Daily Labor Report and Construction Labor Report at Bloomberg BNA, where she drafted and edited a wide array of content on legal and legislative employment and labor issues.

Ms. Gee earned her Bachelor of Arts in English (cum laude) and her Juris Doctor from Howard University.
