Matthew P. Albanese

Matthew P. Albanese leads Albanese Law, LLC in Milton, focusing on estate planning, elder law, probate, and disability law. He earned his undergraduate degree from Providence College and both his J.D. and M.B.A. from Suffolk University.

In 2019, Mr. Albanese served as President of the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is actively involved with the Boston Bar Association, Norfolk County Bar Association, Plymouth County Bar Association, and Massachusetts Guardianship Association. Additionally, he chaired the 24th Annual Elder Law Institute for the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.

Mr. Albanese frequently contributes to Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), lecturing on estate planning techniques and long-term care planning. He has authored numerous articles on estate planning.

Before his private practice, Mr. Albanese served as Legal Counsel to the Massachusetts House of Representatives Committee on Medicaid. He has been a strong advocate for senior citizens, leading initiatives like expanding the senior work-off tax program and testifying on issues impacting the elderly and disabled.

His public service includes membership on the West Bridgewater Board of Selectmen, chairing the Plymouth County Selectmen’s Association, and participating in the Regional Task Force on Casino Impacts. In 2009, the Rotary Club of the Bridgewaters awarded him Citizen of the Year.

Mr. Albanese has been featured on Money Matters Talk Radio 970AM and WXBR 1460 AM, and in 2015, he received an appointment by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
