Sam Bernstein

Sam Bernstein is a seasoned criminal defense attorney who has dedicated his career to advocating for clients in Ann Arbor and beyond. He has skillfully tried cases to juries from East Lansing to Downriver and from Pontiac to Jackson. With a focus on criminal defense, Sam has represented individuals facing both felony and misdemeanor charges in 13 circuit courts and 39 district courts.

Unlike many in his field, Sam has never served as a prosecutor. This unique perspective allows him to fully commit to defending his clients without any ties to the prosecutorial system. He prides himself on being an advocate who has always been on the side of the defense.

A native of Ann Arbor, Sam graduated from Pioneer High School and went on to earn his degree from Eastern Michigan University. He continued his education at Michigan State University College of Law. After law school, he returned to his hometown to establish ArborYpsi Law, where he remains dedicated to serving his community.
