James T. Haadsma

James T. Haadsma has been a pivotal part of the McCroskey Law firm since August 1987. He is renowned for his expertise in representing injured workers in workers’ disability compensation disputes before the Michigan Workers’ Compensation Agency. Additionally, he advocates for clients before the Social Security Administration’s Office of Disability Adjudication and Review. Mr. Haadsma also handles cases involving partially disabled employees in disputes with employers under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Michigan Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act. His practice primarily serves clients throughout Calhoun County, extending from Washtenaw to Berrien Counties.

Prior to joining McCroskey Law, Mr. Haadsma worked with the Muskegon office of Legal Aid of Western Michigan from May 1984 to August 1987. During this time, he successfully challenged a City of Muskegon ordinance and addressed municipal mismanagement of public housing programs through impactful litigation.

Demonstrating his commitment to accessible legal representation, Mr. Haadsma participates in the Legal Services of South Central Michigan’s pro bono panel program, providing legal assistance to workers who might otherwise lack representation.
