W. Jay Brown

W. Jay Brown began his professional journey as a teacher before transitioning to a legal career in 1998. Graduating at the top of his class, he joined Midland's largest law firm as a litigation associate. His exceptional skills quickly earned him a promotion to a member of the firm.

In 2009, Mr. Brown established his own practice, driven by a vision to integrate technology and innovation into legal services. Initially focusing on litigation in business, commercial, real estate, and construction law, his practice naturally expanded to offer general counsel in these areas as clients sought his trusted advice for broader needs.

Mr. Brown views his clients as partners, working collaboratively to achieve their goals. He often asks, "What do you want the result to be?" to help clients identify their desired outcomes and plan effective strategies.

On a personal note, Mr. Brown has been married to Lori for over 35 years, and they have two daughters. He enjoys activities such as pickleball, biking, golf, hiking, and spending time in Leelanau County.
