Kara E. Weisman

Kara E. Weisman is a founding partner at Vahdat Weisman Law, specializing in complex legal cases such as medical malpractice, wrongful death, and civil rights. Licensed in all Michigan state and federal courts, Kara achieved a $13 million settlement for a critically injured client in 2023, marking it as the second-highest settlement in Michigan that year. Her expertise also extends to significant claims in Texas and California.

Before establishing her law firm, Kara clerked for the Hon. Richard J. Garcia and Hon. R. George Economy at the Ingham County Probate Court. Additionally, during her law school years, she gained valuable experience clerking for the Federal Defender’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan and working with the Innocence Project. Her efforts at the Innocence Project led to the dismissal of charges against a wrongfully convicted client, ultimately restoring his freedom.
