Nicholas Tatro

Nicholas Tatro is a distinguished attorney with a focus on environmental, toxic tort, mass tort, and products liability litigation, as well as permitting and compliance with environmental regulations. He adeptly defends against alleged environmental regulation violations. His legal practice also encompasses real property litigation, injury law, and default servicing litigation.

Nicholas began his legal career in Chicago, Illinois, at a commercial litigation and insurance defense firm. There, he managed a national corporate compliance and insurance defense team, defending claims for large industrial clients across multiple states. His work involved defending workers’ compensation cases and litigating industrial accident and commercial matters, alongside handling collections, evictions, and administrative law issues. Nicholas also has extensive experience in contract work, including drafting employment contracts, vendor agreements, commercial leases, and settlement agreements.

He has tried numerous cases before the Workers’ Compensation Commission and in State Courts. Beyond litigation, Nicholas developed and maintained a national employment law compliance database, providing strategic advice to clients expanding into new states.

Upon relocating to Michigan, Nicholas has concentrated on real property litigation and default servicing litigation, representing a diverse clientele from multinational financial institutions to individual clients. He has conducted trials in both Circuit and District Courts in Michigan and has appeared before the Michigan Court of Appeals multiple times.

Before joining his current firm, Nicholas served as a litigation manager at a boutique real property firm, where he handled a substantial litigation docket.
