Jeffrey J. Michalowski

Jeffrey J. Michalowski, a founding partner of Serafini, Michalowski, Derkacz and Associates, P.C., has established a prominent practice in elder law, estate planning, trust administration, probate administration, and corporate law. Originally from Sterling Heights, Jeff is pleased to have returned to Macomb County to serve his community.

Before co-founding the firm in early 2006 with Phillip S. Serafini, Jeff gained extensive experience at a large regional accounting and business consulting firm, an insurance defense law firm, and a business law firm focused on corporate law, business formation, consulting, and private equity. His journey in elder law and estate planning began with a specialized firm from 2003 to 2005.

Jeff's firm quickly expanded to become a general practice firm, recognized both locally and nationally for expertise in areas like no-fault and auto-law, long-term disability insurance claims, and elder law. Since 2006, Jeff has continued to focus on elder law and estate planning, while also assisting clients with corporate planning, consulting, and litigation.

He has helped thousands of families navigate long-term care planning for aging loved ones, protecting estates from Medicaid spend-down and estate recovery. Jeff is dedicated to finding high-quality care solutions at affordable costs and enjoys aiding families and business owners in future planning through estate and business succession strategies.
