Andrew B. Wachler

Andrew B. Wachler, principal of Wachler & Associates, P.C., has dedicated over four decades to specializing in health care law. He earned his undergraduate degree Cum Laude from the University of Michigan in 1974, where he was honored with the William J. Branstom Award. In 1978, he graduated Cum Laude from Wayne State University Law School and was admitted to the Michigan Bar and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan.

Mr. Wachler is an active member of the American Bar Association Health Law Section, contributing to the HIPAA Task Force, the Programs Committee, and the editorial board of The Health Lawyer. His involvement extends to the American Health Lawyers Association and the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section, where he has been part of the Health Providers Subcommittee and a past member of the Health Care Law Section Council. Additionally, he is affiliated with the Oakland County Bar Association.

With a focus on all aspects of health care law, Mr. Wachler is a sought-after speaker on health care issues. He has presented to various organizations, including the Health Care Law Section of the American Bar Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists. His speaking engagements also include the State Bar of Michigan Health Care Law Section, numerous county and local medical societies, the Michigan Radiology Business Management Association, the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, the American Orthotic and Prosthetic Association, the National Society of Gastroenterologists, Lorman’s Educational Services, and United Communications Group.
