Jason C. Brown

Established in 2003 by Jason C. Brown, the Brown Law Offices, P.A. is a dedicated divorce and family law firm located in the northwest Twin Cities, primarily serving Hennepin, Anoka, Sherburne, and Wright County. The firm handles a comprehensive range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, alimony, paternity, prenuptial agreements, step-parent adoptions, harassment restraining orders, and domestic abuse cases.

Jason began his legal career after clerking for the retired Chief Judge of Minnesota’s Tenth Judicial District. He has since evolved into an experienced trial lawyer, initially handling diverse cases such as civil commitment, criminal defense, probate, personal injury, and commercial litigation. Now, his practice is nearly exclusively focused on divorce and family law.

A seasoned litigator, Jason has successfully argued against some of the most recognized family law attorneys in the Twin Cities. He served as the former chairperson of the Family Law Section of the Minnesota Trial Lawyer’s Association and has taught divorce and family law courses at North Hennepin Community College. His insights are shared through the Minnesota Family Law Blog, recognized by the Minnesota State Bar Association as a “Top 25” blog.

Jason has made multiple media appearances, both locally and nationally. His local engagements include WCCO Radio, KARE 11 Television, Fox 9 Television, and WCCO Television. Nationally, he has been featured on NBC News, Time Magazine, USA Today, and the Huffington Post.

Jason holds a B.S., magna cum laude, from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a J.D., cum laude, from the William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul. During law school, he contributed as a staff writer and associate editor for the William Mitchell Law Review. Outside of his legal practice, Jason is a bass guitarist and serves on the Board of Directors at Northgate Church. He lives with his wife, Cynthia, also an attorney, and their two sons.
