Maria Trafton

Maria Trafton is an accomplished attorney practicing in the State of Minnesota, with a focus on immigration and family law. She earned her Juris Doctor degree from William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, Minnesota, where she graduated Cum Laude. Maria also holds an undergraduate degree in Global Studies from the University of Minnesota. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she relocated to the Twin Cities for her studies.

During her time at law school, Maria actively participated in the Immigration Clinic, gaining hands-on experience with various immigration cases. She also contributed to the Re-Entry Clinic, working on divorce and child custody matters. Notably, she served as the Family Law Clinic Director for the Self-Help Clinic at William Mitchell College of Law.

Since completing her education, Maria has been a volunteer attorney with Mid-Minnesota Legal Aid, where she continues to advocate in immigration and family law cases. Her commitment to justice is evident in her extensive volunteer work, exceeding 500 hours with the Minnesota Justice Foundation, supporting low-income clients.

In her personal time, Maria enjoys do-it-yourself projects, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her passion for helping others and dedication to her clients drive her to work diligently on every case.
