Gerald O. Williams

Gerald O. Williams has been exclusively practicing divorce and family law in Minnesota since 1993. His expertise spans a comprehensive range of family law matters, including divorce, custody, child support, paternity, grandparents' rights, mediation, appeals, and same-sex cases. Notably, Jerry possesses significant experience in interstate and international divorce and child custody issues, often advising fellow attorneys on these complex matters. His practice also encompasses collaborative law and alternative dispute resolution.

Jerry is the author of Minnesota's first divorce and family law blog and regularly contributes to the Minnesota Association for Justice Magazine. He has served as an investigator for the Hennepin County Bar Association Ethics Committee.

In addition to his legal practice, Jerry was a board member of the Minnesota Chapter of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and is a fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Outside of his professional commitments, Jerry is actively engaged in church music and community theater, activities he shares with his wife and daughters.
