Ronald M. Otten

Ronald M. Otten has dedicated more than three decades to serving clients in estate planning and related fields such as probate, trust administration, business succession planning, charitable giving, Medicaid planning, and real estate. His practice is based in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, where he works closely with fellow attorneys to address the diverse legal needs of his clients.

Ron is committed to exceptional client service, handling everything from straightforward estate planning for individuals to complex succession and tax issues for family businesses. His approach combines dedication, intelligence, and good humor, ensuring a positive experience for every client.

Ron holds a Bachelor of Arts from Moorhead State University and a Juris Doctorate from Hamline University School of Law. He has been admitted to the Minnesota State Bar since 1983, and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota, the United States Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.

He is actively involved in professional organizations, including the Minnesota State Bar Association's Trust and Estates Section and the Hennepin County Bar Association. Ron has also completed Certified Alternative Dispute Resolution Training and has served on the Guardianship/Conservatorship Attorney Panel for the Fourth Judicial District.

In addition, Ron has pursued advanced studies in charitable giving at William Mitchell College of Law and has completed coursework toward an LL.M in International Taxation from Regent University. He is a National Planned Giving Alum with Robert F. Sharpe & Company.
