Tamara Caban-Ramirez

Tamara Caban-Ramirez is an attorney in Edina, Minnesota, with a deep commitment to legal and social justice. She earned her juris doctorate from Hamline University School of Law. Before attending law school, she honed her skills at various Twin Cities law firms, where she supported attorneys in client care, civil litigation, and case management.

Her fluency in Spanish and in-depth understanding of Latin culture equip her to address the legal challenges arising from increasing social and cultural diversity. This skill set was further enriched by her 2003 internship with the International Development Law Organization in Rome, Italy, where she researched international legal issues.

Ms. Caban-Ramirez graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Minnesota in 1998, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies, Spanish, and Political Science. Throughout her academic career, she was an active participant and leader in student political and social organizations, receiving numerous scholarships and awards.

Born in Puerto Rico, Ms. Caban-Ramirez spent her formative years there, maintaining a strong connection to her roots. Her passion for social interaction extends beyond law, as she is also a poet, a talent that complements her legal practice.
