Gregory K. Davis

Gregory K. Davis is an accomplished attorney based in Brandon, Mississippi, known for his extensive experience in both civil and criminal litigation. He co-founded his firm and later served as the United States Attorney for the Southern District of Mississippi from 2012 to 2017, following his nomination by President Barack Obama. In this role, Gregory concentrated on preventing violent crime, safeguarding civil rights, addressing the prescription drug and heroin crisis in Mississippi, prosecuting corrupt public officials, and educating youth on the dangers of drugs, violence, and gangs.

Born in Tuskegee, Alabama, and raised in Utica, Mississippi, Gregory completed his high school education at Hinds County A.H.S. He then earned a B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University before graduating from Tulane Law School. His legal career is marked by his representation of both individuals and corporations, acting as counsel for plaintiffs and defendants alike. This diverse representation has equipped him with a unique perspective on the competing interests that must be navigated to resolve lawsuits effectively.

Gregory is actively involved in the legal community as a member of the Mississippi Bar Association, Magnolia Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Capital Area Bar Association. He resides in Jackson, Mississippi, with his wife and three children and is a member of New Hope Baptist Church. In his personal time, he enjoys family activities, playing golf, traveling, listening to music, attending sporting events, and exercising.
