Camp Pittman

Camp Pittman, a native of Corinth, Mississippi, is a seasoned attorney with a strong background in both legal and political fields. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Mississippi. Camp has played pivotal roles in political campaigns, serving as a field director for Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch, Senator Thad Cochran, and Bill Waller's statewide campaigns. He also gained valuable experience interning for Senator Cochran on Capitol Hill and clerking at Barbour, Griffith and Rogers (BGR Group), a prominent lobbying firm in Washington, D.C.

After his time in Washington, Camp pursued a Masters in Public Policy and Administration at Mississippi State University, working as a graduate assistant at the Stennis Institute of Government. He completed his Juris Doctor at Ole Miss in December 2020, where he was active as a class Senator, Secretary of the Federalist Society, and a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honor Society. His academic achievements include being named the Most Outstanding Student in Constitutional Law I and co-authoring a published article in the Mississippi Law Journal.

Camp gained practical legal experience interning for U.S. District Judge Neal B. Biggers and U.S. Magistrate Judge Roy Percy in Oxford, Mississippi. After passing the Mississippi Bar Exam in February 2021, he joined a regional defense firm with over 250 attorneys, specializing in insurance defense. His nearly two and a half years in this role equipped him with the skills to effectively handle complex insurance cases.

Currently, Camp is among the twenty attorneys chosen for the Leadership Mississippi Bar class, highlighting his commitment to professional development. He is licensed to practice in all Mississippi courts and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Beyond his legal career, Camp is actively involved in his community as a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Rotary, and as a Board Member of the Crossroads Museum.
