Ms. Victoria Valencia Washington

Victoria V. Washington, the founder of The Washington Law Firm PLLC in Southaven, Mississippi, is a committed advocate for clients throughout north Mississippi. Her personal experiences, including her brother's wrongful conviction in 2003 and a severe car accident in 2016, drive her passion for justice. Since being licensed in Mississippi in 2014, Ms. Washington has adeptly represented clients in juvenile, circuit, municipal, and federal courts. Her legal success spans cases involving DUIs, murder, aggravated assault, drug offenses, domestic violence, and theft, achieving numerous favorable outcomes.

In her personal injury practice, Ms. Washington has effectively represented individuals injured in incidents such as slip-and-falls and vehicle accidents. Her practice also extends to civil rights litigation and transactional matters, providing comprehensive legal support.

Ms. Washington earned her bachelor’s degree in English/Pre-Law from Tougaloo College and her Juris Doctor degree from The University of Mississippi School of Law. Before law school, she gained valuable experience as a teacher in the Jackson Public School District and as a coach, with an internship at The Committee on Homeland Security in Washington, D.C.

Her professional achievements include serving as the president of the Northwest Young Lawyers Division of The Mississippi Bar and being recognized as a Rising Star-Super Lawyer in Criminal Defense. Ms. Washington is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the National College for DUI Defense, and the National Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers. She also contributes as an ad hoc attorney on the Criminal Justice Act (CJA) Panel in the federal district courts of North Mississippi.
