April McDonald

April L. McDonald, a dedicated resident of Lucedale, Mississippi, focuses her legal practice on general civil litigation and appellate litigation, particularly in personal injury, insurance defense, and family law. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Delta State University and her Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law. During her law school years, she actively participated in the Moot Court Board, served as Secretary of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, and was a Senator-At-Large for the Law Student Bar Association. Her exceptional skills were showcased as a Semi-Finalist in the Labor and Employment Moot Court Trial Competition in Dallas, Texas.

Before joining the firm as an associate in 2013, Ms. McDonald gained valuable experience working at a regional personal injury firm and the Mississippi Department of Human Services. Her professional affiliations include the Jackson County Bar Association, where she is currently Vice President and previously served as Secretary from 2015 to 2016. She is also a member of the Jackson County Young Lawyers Association, Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association, Mississippi Bar, Alabama Bar, and American Bar Association.

Ms. McDonald is admitted to practice in all Mississippi and Alabama State Courts, as well as the U.S. Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In addition to her legal practice, she contributes to her community as a Mississippi High School Mock Trial Competition Judge, a member of Refuge United Methodist Church, and a blood donor with the Blood Center. Beyond her professional and community commitments, Ms. McDonald is passionate about marathon running and cycling.
