James Harper

James Harper leads the team at Harper Little in Oxford, Mississippi, bringing 23 years of expertise in civil litigation. His practice areas include employment, business, contract, and construction law. Licensed in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Arkansas, James represents clients in state and federal courts across the southeast.

James holds a master’s degree in conflict resolution, offering mediation services and negotiation training tailored to legal and organizational disputes.

Before establishing Harper Little, James was a founding partner at Stroud & Harper, P.C., in Southaven, Mississippi, focusing on employment, real estate, and civil litigation in Mississippi and Tennessee. He began his career as an associate at Weintraub, Stock, Bennett, Grisham & Underwood in Memphis, a firm specializing in labor and employment management.

As a member of the Trial Lawyers College and certified by the Harvard Program on Negotiation, James is committed to advancing his skills in negotiation and trial advocacy.
