Robert Grant Pennell

With a strong connection to Saint Louis, where he has lived for four decades, Robert Grant Pennell considers himself a local. He is a graduate of Washington University–Olin School of Business and Saint Louis University – School of Law, and attended Parkway Central Senior High School.

Before entering the legal field, Robert spent five years as an Engineer Planner at McDonnell Douglas, now Boeing. His role involved managing complex engineering development programs for the U.S. military and its allies, equipping him with a keen business acumen and problem-solving skills.

Robert began his legal career as a trial attorney at prominent Saint Louis firms, including a historic insurance defense firm and the local branch of a major international firm from Chicago. He has extensive litigation experience, handling pre-trial discovery, dispositive motions, and serving as First Chair in jury trials and appellate arguments in Missouri and Federal Courts.

Transitioning from litigation, Robert has focused on representing businesses, leveraging his engineering background to address employment and contractual matters. He has advised a diverse range of clients, from small startups to Fortune 500 companies.
