Amanda Altman

Amanda Altman grew up in Gillespie, Illinois, and graduated as valedictorian from her high school in 1999. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana in three years. Pursuing her legal aspirations, she attended the St. Louis University School of Law, completing her studies in 2007.

With a deep commitment to aiding the underserved, Ms. Altman initially focused on criminal defense, serving with the Missouri State Public Defender in Jackson, Missouri. Her practice has since expanded to include workers’ compensation, social security disability, and personal injury, reflecting her dedication to diverse legal needs.

Ms. Altman's experience in criminal defense has sharpened her litigation skills, leading her to try numerous cases before juries and judges. She is known for her tenacity in negotiations and courtroom advocacy, earning a reputation as a "bulldog" for her clients. She is admitted to practice in Missouri, Illinois, the Eastern District of Missouri, and the Southern District of Illinois, and serves as "Of Counsel" at the firm's Cape Girardeau office.

Residing in Cape Girardeau with her husband and three sons, Ms. Altman enjoys baking, traveling, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
